How to make green cleaners

Keep your family safer and save money by making cleaners with ingredients you already have at home. 

  1. Floor cleaner

    Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap with one gallon of warm water. Mop with the solution.

  2. Toilet bowl cleaner

    Sprinkle baking soda and a few drops of soap. Scrub with a toilet brush and flush.

  3. Window and mirror cleaner

    Pour 1/2 cup of white vinegar into a spray bottle and fill to the top with water. Spray and rub with a lint-free cloth or newspaper.

  4. Drain cleaner

    Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda into the drain. Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Wait a few minutes and flush the drain with boiling water.

  5. Tub and sink cleaner

    Sprinkle baking soda and water on surfaces and fixtures. Scrub with a sponge and rinse.

  6. Counter cleaner

    Add 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap to a spray bottle. Spray counters and wipe with a microfiber cloth.
